Happy New Year! Waving goodbye to 2017 and saying HELLO to 2018! At the beginning of each year several people go into the ” New Year, New Me” phase. For me, in 2018 I am pushing myself to follow through with my goals and dreams, become financially stable, and handle my mental and emotional stress in a different way.
2017 was a year of me going through hardship, understanding, self-love, and knowing when enough is enough. I struggled with staying on top of my finances and not really planning things out. I struggled with understanding what was for me and what was not for me which pushed me into “self-love” mode. Enough is enough when it comes to tolerating things that doesn’t make me happy or is benefiting my life. I stopped exercising regularly and stopped seeking advise when I truly needed it; these things really keep me level headed when handling any type of stress. It’s a new year which means a fresh start to make things happen.
In 2018 I will finish the things I start, and I will start handling certain situations differently. I encourage everyone to make a list of goals and stick with them. In 2018 make plans to take the trip you have been anxious to take, say no when you really want to say no, go to school and get the degree you want, say hello to the person that you have always wanted to speak with but couldn’t find the courage, let go of the hurt that someone tied onto you, create the life you want and make 2018 your year to SHINE!
