Life has an interesting way of igniting our awareness. When we encounter a challenge or accomplish a goal, our consciousness is shifted and we become aware of what we are capable to overcome or capable to stand up against. Michael Beckwith believes,

Today someone asked me, “How do I do it?” Meaning how do I continue to get up every day and maintain a busy schedule. My first response to her was, “I just do it.” After returning home in June from my summer trip I entered back into something I like to call reality: summer internship, part time job, a summer class, and finding time to study for class. One thing I suggested to her was to stop and say a prayer or motivation from time to time because it helps me to make it through each day I feel like giving up.
However, throughout the day I have been thinking about all of the things that really keep me going.
My first element: Self motivation. Having self motivation allows for me to push myself forward. Without motivation and I feel like I would be doomed. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself when no one else is there to do. Sometimes I literally stop and quote to myself, “when you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long.” This quote has helped me push my way through college and it is helping me push my way to my career. If you have a favorite quote that motivates you it is good to say it to yourself from time to time to help you stay motivated.
My second element: believing in me. Believing in myself keeps me going. I feel that you first have to believe in yourself before anyone else can. This all falls down to believing that you can do anything you set your mind to. If you really want something in life you work hard and smart to get it.
My third element: confidence. Having confidence in yourself and the things you do can only make you stronger. Without confidence there is no motive and belief in whatever you are trying to do. Confidence says and shows a lot about a person; it shows through your facial expressions and body movements. Always wear your confidence.
What elements keep you going?
Just because everyone else is doing it that doesn’t mean you have to do it. Originality is exclusive and can’t nobody do it like you.
It’s hard letting go of something or someone who has made a major dent in your life. No matter how hard you try to move away or forget what happened, the memory is still there. That’s why it’s better to forgive than to forget.
Sometimes I throw my hands in the air and live for the day and not tomorrow, only because tomorrow is not guaranteed. Do something today that you plan to do tomorrow.
