Five Places I Want To Visit

1.  Amsterdam, The Netherlands: I watch HGTV on a regular, especially International House Hunters! On television Amsterdam appear to be a quaint area with a deep history. When I do get the chance to visit Amsterdam, I would love to stay on the canal and near the heart of town. I want to explore the town by foot or bicycle and be close to local shops and eateries. A few places on my radar to visit is the House of Anne Frank, The Purse and Bag Museum, and one of the several Art & History Museums.

2. Tuscany, Italy: After watching “Under The Tuscany Sun” I have Continue reading “Five Places I Want To Visit”

My Calm Place

No matter where I am in the world if there is a beach I will be there. The beach is my favorite place to visit. It’s my calm place and where I go when I need to be a lone. The sound of the waves soothes me and the breeze from the waves makes me feel rejuvenated.

There is something about looking out into the ocean and listening to the waves that makes me feel everything will be okay. I can spend hours on the beach without realizing the amount of time passing by because I become at ease. On January 13th I was stressed and missing home, so I drove to North Myrtle Beach, SC and spent three hours on the beach without realizing it. Living close by the beach is something I miss so I take advantage of every opportunity I receive.

A glimpse of different beach adventures!

4 Things You Must Do When Traveling

Look for souvenirs outside the gift shop

When traveling try to avoid gift shops when purchasing souvenirs. There will be unique and original finding when visiting street vendors and random stores you come across while traveling.  Looking for original art became a thing for me when I took my first international trip to Europe. While visiting Europe Continue reading “4 Things You Must Do When Traveling”

Thursday Thoughts: Time

While at work today one of my employees said something that placed me into thought. We were talking about life and how much free time we actually have. She mentioned to another manager and me that as full time workers in retail our schedules are all over the place and we don’t have a great deal time to enjoy things
or have a set schedule. Her words made me think about the things I love to do and how much time I actually have to do them. She is right, I don’t have much time as I would love to have in order to travel, write, volunteer, mentor and spend time with family and friends, all things I love. I realized that my free time is built around my work schedule.
Its 2014 and I am going to work hard in order to create self time for myself and take pleasure in the things in life I love to do. I may be tired when I get off work but I am going to make sure to stop and take a view of the things around me.

Hotel Biba in West Palm Beach, Florida

While in search for somewhere to stay for just a night in West Palm Beach, Florida I came across Hotel Biba. It was the only hotel out of many that I called who had an opening for the night.
The hotel is very historical  and quaint. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I just want to share the photos I took during my stay.

Ready To See The World

After going on my two week adventure to France and Spain I have the urge to head back to France and live for six months or even a year. I have always had the urge to travel and now that I have gone international I am ready to do it again. There are so many things in the world to see and I want to see them all. Now that I am on the edge of finishing college the road is wide open for me with no limitations. I will admit that sometimes I am afraid of change but change is good in different aspects of life. With that being said, I am ready to see the different changes of life head my way. Live Love Life.

 Lunch On Our Own
On this day, day two, Leah and I both  overslept and when we finally made it to the lobby of our hotel, our tour group was gone. We like to call this Day Damn Two. LOL!! ( Insider) However, we managed to make our way around Paris, France. We rode the metro to the center of Paris, ordered food and still had fun at the same time. Hey, I think we did pretty good by ourselves.

I had the best meal at the Romantica Caffe’

“The meal” I didn’t care too much about. If you take a close look, that’s raw ham on the plate… I like my meat cooked. I didn’t have time to be getting sick while out of the USA.

We drunk plenty of water on the trip; we probably drunk more than we do on a daily bases while at home.
